Jeff Burns
Jeff Burns is a writer, producer, and director from upstate New York. His films have screened at independent theaters and film festivals throughout the northeast. Jeff’s latest short, Breaking Up, recently aired on PBS. He’s also served as President of Upstate Independents, an organization of filmmakers, actors, screenwriters, and media artists in the Capital Region of New York, and currently runs the Screenwriters Forum, a place for upstate writers to gain valuable critique on their work. When he’s not making films, Jeff tutors high school students in SAT/ACT prep, Math, Writing, and Latin. He’s also co-founder of Writing Methods and shows learning-disabled high school students how to improve their writing and critical reasoning skills. He’s currently working on his first feature screenplay about a young woman who discovers she’s a descendant of Mary and has the power to wipe vampires from the face of the earth.
